DOTIQUE · FIT & SIZE ADVICE

Let's find the right size.

Sizing isn't always consistent from brand to brand. Our guide will help you shop with more confidence – and if you're between sizes or unsure about a particular style, we're always happy to help.

A little advice before you order

There's no single chart that tells you exactly how every pair of jeans, dress or jumper will fit. Different labels, fabrics and silhouettes all make a difference. Start with the measurements and fit notes on the individual product page, then check with us if you need a second opinion.

How to measure

Bust

Measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape comfortably level and not pulled tight.

Waist

Measure around your natural waist, where your body creases when you bend sideways.

Hips

Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat while standing naturally.

Inside leg

Measure from the top of the inside leg down to your preferred trouser hem; consider the shoes you'll wear.

Measurements are most useful when compared with the size guidance for the specific item you're buying.

Shopping for jeans or trousers?

We know how important a great-fitting pair can be. Here are some of the brands we're often asked about, and the things we'd look at before recommending a size.

MAC Jeans

Look at the named fit and waist measurement rather than assuming every MAC jean fits exactly alike. Stretch, leg shape and length can affect the feel.

PAIGE

Check the denim composition, rise and shape. A structured denim and a softer stretch denim may feel different even when labelled the same size.

Red Button

Compare the individual jean style and leg length. The named shape and fabric are important clues when choosing your size.

Robell

Robell offers different trouser cuts and lengths. We'd check the model, waistband and fabric before suggesting your best fit.

Not sure? Ask a real person.

Send Sophie the product link, your usual size in a brand you know, and what fit you prefer. If useful, include your waist and hip measurements. We'll do our best to help you choose, rather than guessing.

A few things worth remembering

EU, UK and US conversions are approximate. A number on a label isn't a judgement about you, and it's absolutely normal to wear different sizes in different brands. The goal is a fit that makes you feel comfortable and confident.
