The Portwell is fully waterproof with taped seams, rather than simply showerproof, with a fixed hood featuring a protective peak and adjustable drawcords to help keep the rain away from your face. The mid-length shape has a drop-tail hem that's longer at the back, giving you extra coverage when the weather really isn't playing ball.

One of our favourite details is the internal waist adjuster, which means you can cinch the coat in for more shape or leave it loose for a straighter, more relaxed silhouette. There's also a back storm flap, adjustable cuffs and two deep front flap pockets, with a traditional check half-lining adding that classic Joules touch.
